Group Story as Language Course (October 2024 - January 2025 Session)

Looking to dip your toe in Story as Language? There are plenty of screenwriting courses, workshops, and books which analyze and focus on the formulaic parts of story-structure. But formula only takes us so far. 

Like in language, it's important that we know the meaning behind what we're expressing. Think of a time in your life when you wanted to convey something to someone but didn't have the words. What if you were given access to those words? What might be possible in terms of the quality of expression if you knew exactly what you were wanting to say? 

It's no different with screenwriting. Our screenplays mean something to us. Knowing and exploring story-structure via that personal meaning make the process faster and more effective.  

Join this group course that brings together a small group of writers to learn the basics of the language of story as it pertains to a script you are writing. 4 months of weekly sessions with daily writing assignments. You can expect to finish two drafts of your screenplay.
